The library invites you to attend “Third Thursday Theatre” this summer. All movies are FREE to the public and will be shown on the big screen in the Boulder Lake meeting room in the Boulder Junction Community Center. Complimentary popcorn and refreshments will be served.

The June movie will be The Shack and will be shown on Thursday, June 15 at 7 pm. Based on the New York Times best-selling novel, The Shack takes us on a father’s uplifting spiritual journey. After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips [Sam Worthington] spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa [Octavia Spencer]. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever. The movie is rated PG-13 and runs 132 minutes.

The library chairs are hard metal, so guests may want to bring their own lawn chair or a cushion for their comfort. Admission, popcorn and lemonade are free.
