Neighbor to Neighbor - El Camino de Santiago

From August 24, 2017 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm
Categories: Special Events
Anne and Bill Daley, members of St. Anne’s Church, will be the next guests of the Boulder Junction Public Library’s Neighbor to Neighbor Program Series on Thursday, August 24, 7:00 p.m., at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park St.

After being inspired by the 2010 movie The Way, they knew this was a journey to be taken. The Camino is the most popular Christian pilgrim route in the world – dating back to medieval times. While there are many routes all over Europe, the most popular is the Camino Frances or The French Way. On October 14, 2016, Anne and Bill started out on the French side of the Pyrenees, trekked over 500 miles, carrying everything they needed on their backs, across northern Spain, arriving 36 days later in Santiago de Compostela. The Daley’s will share highlights as they lived through the three phases most pilgrims experience; body, mind, and then spiritual.

This presentation is part of the Friends of the Boulder Junction Public Library’s free monthly NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR program series. All members of the public are welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. For more information, please call the library at 715-385-2050.
