Winter in the Northwoods can be beautiful - and difficult! Attend these free presentations to learn ways to support your health and wellness all winter long. All programs are held on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 pm.

On Tuesday, March 6, Amie Rein will be presenting "Fall Prevention and Living Well with Chronic Conditions". The Vilas County Commission on Aging sponsors several evidence-based workshops: "Stepping On", "Healthy Living with Diabetes", "Living Well with Chronic Conditions", "Powerful Tools for Caregivers", and "Strong Bones/Strong Women."

Amie Rein joined the Vilas County Commission on Aging in 2010 as the Family Caregiver and Health and Wellness Coordinator. Prior to coming to the Commission on Aging, Amie was a long-term care Social Worker with Vilas County Social Services where she helped coordinate services for people so that they could remain in their own homes. Amie has living in the Lakeland area since 1985. She graduated from Lakeland Union High School and received a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. When Amie is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, biking, kayaking and reading.
